Listening session: Awaz Karo and other stories

„Awaz Karo and Other Stories“ is a program of 4 audio documentaries. Through dense soundscapes, field recordings and naration, each work explore our relationship with the fragile environment we live in, questioning how can we be better listeners and what stories we can hear in the world surounding us. Documentaries are presented in original language with Lithuanian and English subtitles.

Last spring, after more than a decade abroad, sound artists Gabrielė and Andrius decided to return to live in Lithuania. This coincided with a wave of media reports about encounters with bears. Although there are only a few bears in the country, the noise of the media created the impression that hundreds of them are tumbling into cities and forests.
