The story of Jaione, a Basque woman who joined the ETA, the Basque separatist group, at the age of 18 — and ended up in prison in Spain 40 years later. This documentary is not about guilt or innocence; it’s about why an irreversible choice was made, and what that did to someone’s life and the lives of those around them.

She is a Belgian audio and radio producer. Pauline makes podcasts (De Standaard & VRT), does freelance assignments for Radio 1 (De wereld van Sofie) and works on narrative author documentaries. In 2022, she graduated with the audio documentary ‘Une utopie, un mensonge’. In 2023, it won her an Award at the Third Coast International Audio Festival in the category Best Documentary: Non-English Language and she was also nominated for the Prix Europa 2023 in the Audio Documentary category. Her undergraduate thesis ‘Le village des fous’ was awarded the NTR Podcast Prize 2022.
